Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport (GUC)

United Airlines provides year-round, daily service to the Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport.

Shuttle Service to Crested Butte can be arranged through Alpine Express. Mention Brazelton Wedding for a discount.

Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ)

American, Delta, Southwest and United service the Montrose Regional Airport.

Montrose is a 1.5 hour drive to Crested Butte. Or, Shuttle Service to Crested Butte can be arranged through Alpine Express.

Denver International Airport (DIA)

Denver is a 4.5 hour drive to Crested Butte. Car rentals are available at DIA.
The "Bustang" outrider shuttle offers very affordable rates from Union Station to Crested Butte and if the times work in your schedule.

Hiking

There are beautiful hikes all over the Crested Butte area. Below is a list of trails with easy access from town and mt. crested butte. Please scroll down for a complete guide including detailed photos, route descriptions, maps and directions.

Lower Loop: Accessible from Butte Avenue, close to town with gentle terrain (4.5 miles)

Green Lake: Accessible from the Nordic Center, moderate elevation gain (8.5. miles)

Tony’s Trail – Out & Back: Accessible from the East side of town, a perfect choice for fall hiking (2.8 miles). Add the Deli Loop for a longer hike (7.1 miles)

Rec Path: Connects the town of Crested Butte to Mt. Crested Butte via paved walkway (4 miles)

Upper Loop via Tony’s Trail - A fantastic way to hike from Crested Butte to Mt. Crested Butte. Climb through sage brush, and aspens with views of town and surrounding mountains. (3.3 miles)

Fly Fishing

Crested Butte has some of the best trout fishing in the world! Nearby mountain streams, rivers, and lakes offer great catches in the spring, summer, and fall with Rainbow, Brown, Brook, and Cutthroat trout taking up the waters.

What to pack?

Warm days and cold nights make outfits that layer, for both casual and dressy, the best choice. Crested Butte is very casual.

Thursday, come as you are! Friday & Saturday, dress it up! The wedding and reception are tented on a private lawn. Wedding attire is formal with cowboy boots or sensible shoes encouraged.

Do I need a car?

A car will be convenient if you plan to do some adventuring while visiting the Crested Butte area. If you are coming specifically for the wedding events, and flying into Gunnison or Montrose Regional Airports, it is not mandatory.

Alpine Express offers round trip shuttle service to Crested Butte from Gunnison and Montrose Regional Airports. Advance reservations required.

Crested Butte is one square mile and very walkable. The Mountain Express is a free shuttle service between Crested Butte and Mt. CB. Four locations in the town of Crested Butte and one at the ski resort base area in Mt. CB. Additionally, First Tracks complimentary on request shuttle service services many home and condo rentals in Mt. CB.
